  you are in my thoughts and prayers, I will always remember Blaine as riding his motorcycle and playing basketball at home as we were once neighbors on sweetwater road Blaine was always smiling and so very happy. What a great neighbor he was..

It was great knowing you old friend. I really enjoyed the good times we had chasing the little white ball around. I'm really going to miss you my man. May God comfort you.

To the Watts Family, I went to St. Stephens with Blaine.  I was never the prettiest girl in school, nor was I even close to being pretty, but Blaine did not look at the outside.  He loved me for who I was inside.  What a wonderful person he was, and he helped me have some fond memories of my school days.  He could brighten my day just by walking in a room.  I did not know that Blaine had been battling for his life, or he would have been on my daily prayer list!  I will keep you all in my prayers during this difficult time.  I know that Blaine knew God and God will take care of him now.  Please know that Blaine touched so many lives in such a positive way.  He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. To the Watts family, I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  I was a classmate of Blaine's. He was always a happy person, never seen him mad but always smiling and what a beautiful smile it was. 
I wish I could say something to make the hurt go away but time will help that, hold God's hand as you go through this journey, Blaine has his other hand, and God will get you through it all.

Blaine is, and always will be, a man with whom I will always carry wonderful memories about my childhood.  I played ball at St. Stephens Optimist.  Like many other kids, I had the opportunity to get to know Blaine as a coach, a mentor, and a friend.  I lost touch with him as I grew up, but never lost all the experiences I had with him.  I don't have any memories of Blaine when he was not smiling and interacting with people in a positive way.  I did see him throw his hat on occassion when calls didn't go our way, but Blaine always had a way of getting it out of his system and moving on with a smile.  I know that is one of the greatest things he taught us as kids- get it out if you have to, but pick your hat up and get on with the game.  
On reflection, I'm throwing my hat knowing that I did not have the chance to once again see him or thank him for all the wonderful memories he provided me.  But in his honor, I'm going to pick my hat up and get on with the game as he taught me.  

To his family and those closest to him who are feeling this loss in a way that is not describable, I wouldn't blame you if you kicked a few helmets and rattled a few bats from the pain.  I just know that the lessons Blaine taught me then, pale in comparison to the happines and joyful memories he made with you throughout your lives.  I hope those happy times that make you grieve now, will soon turn to smiles after you have dusted off your hat, yelled at the ump, got the final out of the inning, and patted your team on the behind with encouraging words as they ran back into the dugout.  Blaine always wanted to win, but he never wanted us to get down on ourselves.  I can't help but feel that's the way he wants you and all of us to handle this painful time.  I know that he would feel it to be his greatest victory if we picked up our hats, learned from our experience, never forgot him, and got on with the game.

Blaine was only in our lives a short time - during our sons little league baseball period.  He was a sweet man, and devoted himself to all the kids on the baseball team.  We even had the privledge of being his neighbor when he was first married, in Conover.  Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.

We first met Blaine about 8 years ago through his uncle Everett.  The Evans brothers worked for about a year building an addition and remodeling our home.  He was usually with Everett and we had a lot of fun kidding and picking with him.  He loved to tease me about how many cabinets I was having built.  He always said, "no woman needs that many cabinets."

We were so sorry to hear about his death. We will keep you in our prayers. We know you have many fond memories, may they bring you comfort.
