Patricia Ann Robbins Propst

GRANITE FALLS – Patricia Ann Robbins Propst, 72 of Granite Falls gained her angel wings on January 14, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on January 11 1946, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Wilburn and Alma Pennell Robbins. Patricia’s main goals in life were to be a devoted wife and a loving mother to her children. Patricia was the owner of Propst’s Superette. She enjoyed working in her yard, tending flower gardens, and shopping. Patricia would sit for hours on her back deck watching her birds that fed from her many feeders. She was always the center of hosting the family gatherings. Patricia had a huge giving heart who helped many individuals in her community and various charitable organizations. She loved to decorate and maintain an immaculate beautiful home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted L. Propst; brother, Jay Robbins; sisters, Hazel Robbins Mason and Nancy Robbins Franklin.

Survivors include her children, Jeff Propst and wife, Tammy of Taylorsville, Kimberly Propst Parker of Hickory; grandson, Aaron Propst of Taylorsville, step-grandchildren, Brandon Arthur of Taylorsville, Kevin Arthur of Taylorsville; several great-grandchildren; a special niece, Lynn Plymale and husband John of Hickory; a special great-niece, Adriane Plymale Oxford of Granite Falls, great-great-nephew, Jack Oxford of Granite Falls; nephew Keith Franklin of Granite Falls; a long time best friend, Bonnie Coffey, and a number of other family members.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 3 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Rev. Rendell Hipps officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM-3 PM at the funeral home.
