Pamela “Pam” Fowler Propst, age 59 was called home to her Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. She was born on November 21, 1956 in Charlotte to William and Martha Fowler. Pam was a 1979 graduate of Gardner Webb School of Nursing. She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Scott Propst of Hickory; sisters, Alice Hampton of Concord, North Carolina and Sharon Pack and husband Joseph of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; brother, William Fowler, Jr. and wife Patti of Augusta, Georgia and many nieces and nephews. Pam also leaves her beloved cockatiel, Snowbaby and her cat,Color. Pam was greeted in heaven by her parents and sisters, JoAnn, Tracy and Stacy. A celebration of Pam’s life will be held at 2 pm, Monday, August 15, 2016 at Catawba Funeral Home in Hickory with Rev. Kaye Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 14 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Pam's name may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, suite 300, Rockville MD, 20852 or to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
