Nancy London Pruitt, 77, of Hickory, went home with her Lord and Savior and to join her husband of 58 years, Hugh Pruitt on October 21, 2014, at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born November 12, 1936 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Harold London and Ruby Baker London. Nancy loved life and just brought a room to life when she entered. She loved her family and loved taking care of her grandchildren. Nancy had a passion for cooking and loved collecting cookbooks. She enjoyed shopping and was always in search of a bargain. She loved going to Salvation Army, but many times would spend more time talking with friends instead of shopping. Every day was an adventure for Nancy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Hugh Pruitt, and brothers, Mark London and Dean London.
Left to cherish her memories and life are daughters, Sherry Lynn Pruitt of Hickory; and Robin Pruitt of Taylorsville; son, Tim Pruitt and wife Lisa of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Kristel, Lisa, Peyton, Alyssa, Amanda and Megan; great-grandchildren, Alan, Bryson and Cora Belle, and Jada and Willie; brothers, Dennis London and wife Betty of Hickory and Steve London and wife Lou of Hickory and sister-in-law, Lisa London of Hickory. Last but not least her loving companion of 14 years, June Bug.
Nancy’s life will be celebrated and memories shared at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Oakwood Cemetery in Hickory.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Drum Funeral Home in Hickory.
