Mary Catherine (Parker) Morgan

She was born on October 23, 1927 to the late Elmer Parker and Ida Mae Pierce Parker in Iredell County. Catherine was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church ELCA.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lester Morgan; daughter, Barbara Lynn; son, James Michael Morgan; granddaughter, Jackie Lynn Dobbs; grandson, Jeffrey Lynn; 1 great grandchild; 1 great great grandchild; 1 sister; and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Ruby Catherine Barlow (Curtis), Edna Miller (Mickey), Shirley Morgan, Vickie Morgan, son-in-law Jack Lynn, all of Hickory; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Lutheran Church ELCA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 1:45 pm at the church. Rev. Terri Landers will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
