NORTH AUGUSTA, SC – Mary Hester, 94 of North Augusta passed away on June 30, 2019.
Born on August 9, 1924 in Aiken, SC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Cora Coulter Fagan. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed feeding the birds and working in her garden. Mary worked hard her whole life taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Renn Hester; sister, Frances Duncan, and son-in-law's, Gilbert Dull and Tom Carson.
Survivors include her daughters, Kay Smith and husband Leo of North Augusta, SC; Lynne Dull of Mills River, NC; grandchildren, Joel Carson of North Augusta, Christine Pritchard and husband Charles of North Augusta, Brent Carson and wife Christa of Mobile, AL, Amy Palo of Pisgah Forest, Harry Dull and wife Laura of Etowah; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 5th, 2019 at 1 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 PM -1 PM at the funeral home.
