CLEMMONS – Margaret Genell McCaslin Alexander, 95 of Clemmons passed away after years of declining health at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem on July 11, 2023.
Born on May 27, 1928 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late George Franklin and Grace Hood McCaslin. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all. She was a woman of strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Aaron Morris Alexander; son, PVT Gary Eugene McCaslin; brothers, John McCaslin, Parmer McCaslin, Joe McCaslin, and Noah McCaslin; sisters, Mildred McCaslin, Ola Brittain, and Ruby Buff; son in laws, James (Jim) Helms and Richard Howell.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, The Rev. Betty A. Helms of Clemmons, Ray Alexander and wife Sharon of FL, Judy Howell and special friend Wade Harrington of Huntersville, AL.; grandchildren, Marc Helms and wife Kelly of Clemmons, Tracy Jackowski and husband Bill of FL, Kevin Alexander of FL, Crystal Palmer of FL, Carlo Gold of FL; great-grandchildren, James and Hudson Helms of Clemmons, Javen and Gage Palmer of FL, Billy Jackowski of FL, Halina and Raven Alexander of FL; brothers, Thurman McCaslin of Newton, Austin McCaslin and wife Janice of Vale; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 2 PM at New Hope Moravain Church with The Rev. Betty A. Helms officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 PM – 2 PM at the church.
A special thanks to neighbors and special friends in Clemmons for their acts of kindness and help during her years of declining health.
