Margaret Adelaide Powell Huffman

Born February 22, 1931 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Nora Sain Powell and Brice Bascom Powell. She was a longtime member of Miller’s Lutheran Church in Hickory.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Grady Huffman, three brothers, five sisters and son-in-law, Mack Lewis Little.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Huffman Little and Donna Huffman Kirby and husband Noel both of Hickory, NC; and son Ralph Grady “Rusty” Huffman, Jr. and wife Susan of Newton, NC; seven grandchildren, Mack Lewis “Chip” Little II and wife Dana, Paula Little, Dee Dee Little South, Amy Huffman Gates and husband Blake, Kelsey Kirby, Courtney Kirby Peterson and husband Caleb, and Brian Huffman; eight great-grandchildren, Aaron and Mack Little, Ciara, Kenly and Macey Pennell, Kaine and Lanie South and Davis Gates.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Miller’s Lutheran Church in Hickory with Rev. Steve Rhodes officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

The family would like to thank the staff of Frye Regional Medical Center, Catawba Regional Hospice and special caregiver, Michelle Butler for taking such great care of our “Nannie”.
