Katie Sigmon Miller

Katie Sigmon Miller, 88, passed away July 16, 2013 at her residence.Katie was born October 9, 1924 in Catawba Co. to the late John L., and Jennie Sigmon Sigmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen E. Miller, 3 sisters, Rena S. Eckard, Ila McCain and Winnie Houston and 3 brothers, Norman Sigmon, Guy Sigmon and Fred Sigmon.Katie was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, ELCA and retired after 50 years of service from J. C. Penney’s.Surviving are daughters; Sharon Little and husband, Alex, of Hickory and Cathy Ollis and husband, Robert, of Conover; grandsons, Todd Little and wife, Lisa, of Hiddenite, Marcus Ollis and wife, Erin, of Hudson and Adrian Ollis and wife, Courtney, of Conover; great grandsons, Daniel, James, Jacob and Benjamin Ollis of Hudson and Carson Ollis of Conover; sister, Mary Jo Houston, of Conover; brother, Harold Sigmon and wife, Mary, of Conover and a number of nieces and nephews.Services will be Thursday, July 18, at 11:00 A. M. at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, ELCA with Pastor Richard Hites and PastorPierson Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemeteryMThe family will receive friends Thursday from 9:30 – 10:45 A.
