Josephine Willie Passmore Hames

Josephine was born on July 20, 1933 in Gaston County to the late Barney McCoy & Emma Price Passmore. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Peggy Jo Sigmon and Jo Ann Sigmon; son, Bruce Sigmon; sisters, Blandena Lail and Elizabeth Pascal and a brother, James Passmore.

Surviving are a daughter, Gwen Hefner and husband, Jonathan of Conover; granddaughter, Kristin Hefner and husband, Christopher of Livingston, TN; grandson, Logan Hefner and wife, Michelle of Newton; great granddaughter, Abigail Hefner; great grandsons, Daniel Hefner and Jackson Hefner; sisters, Tena Lanese of Newton, Madeline Harrison of Conover and Phyllis Butler of Hickory.Services will be Sunday, July 6, 2014, at 4:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Christopher Hefner officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 – 3:45 P.
