Born in Burke County, on April 24, 1947, he was the son of the late John and Ida Richards Leggins.
In addition to his parents, his wife Juanita Taylor Leggins, and a daughter Rhonda Smith preceded him in death.
Grandson Thad “TJ” Smith, granddaughter Emily Smith, girlfriend Diane Hatchum, fur baby “Spud” and his son-in-law, Lance Smith survive him.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 15, 2023 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Paul Deal officiating.
Burial will follow in church cemetery.
