He was born in Alexander County on February 18, 1943, he was the son of the late Gordon and Grace Feimster Holleman.
John was a US Marine veteran, he served 4 years.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Carol Plonk Holleman of the home; his daughter Anna Lynn Holleman; brother George Holleman; sister Louise Sebastian; step children Todd Lineberger, Donna Longwith, Sharon Melcher, and Joel Lineberger, and 7 grandchildren.
