He was born March 11, 1928 in Catawba Co. to the late Max and Ester Triplett Walker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Rinck Walker.
He was of the Baptist faith, a Vietnam veteran served in the Army and retired owner & operator of Walker Truck & Trailer repair.
Surviving are his daughters; Judy M. Hewitt and husband, Kelly of Missouri City, TX, Sheila J. Martin of Hickory, Donna J. Bailey and husband, Randy of Lynchburg, Va and Jhonnie D. Walker of Asheboro; sons, Jon “Kelly” Walker of Vale, Jerry M. Walker, and wife, Brenda, Jay K. Walker and George S. Walker all of Hickory and William Dallas Walker of Morganton, 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday at Hickory Funeral Home from 3:00 -4:30 PM.
