Hurley Gene Rudisill

Hurley Gene Rudisill, 86, passed away October 18, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born June 26, 1936 in Lincoln County, NC, he was the son of the late Guy Vinson Rudisill and Callie Mae Ledford Rudisill. A member of Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church and a US Army veteran, Gene was an upholsterer in the furniture industry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Faye Deal Rudisill, and six brothers and sisters.

Gene is survived by daughter, Lajeana Rudisill Lovelace; son, Rickey Gene Rudisill and wife Amanda; brothers, Bill Rudisill and Bobby Rudisill; sisters, Joyce Keener and Carolyn R Davis; and grandchildren, Jeremy Lovelace and Gracelyn Rudisill.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church in Bethlehem with Rev. Mike Stone officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mt. Pisgah Church Youth Fund, 9379 NC Hwy 127 N, Hickory, NC 28601.
