Frances Ann West

Hickory – Frances Ann Sigmon West, 83 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville surrounded by her family.

Born on January 18, 1940 in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Claude Francis and Annie Laura Rhodes Sigmon. She was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Henry Eugene West; a son, Eric Scott West and her beloved pet, Sweetie.

Those left to cherish her memory include, a son, Kevin West and wife, Tyra; a daughter, Laura West; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Jones West; 3 grandchildren: Robert West and wife, Maura, Gabrielle Sirait and husband, Terry, Daniel West; and a great-grandchild, Hylie Sirait.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 11:00 am with Pastor Mary Miller-Zurell officiating. Burial will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church of Conover or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Frances’ name.
