Floyd W. Justus Sr.

FLOYD W. JUSTUS SR. NEWTON – Floyd William Justus, Sr.,78 of Newton went home to be with his Lord on June 6, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born on January 15, 1939 in Brevard, he was the son of the late Christine Justus Landers and step-father, Cornelius Landers. Floyd was very much a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Ann Justus; siblings, Leota Justus, Sarah Short, and Henry Landers. Survivors include his children, Floyd Justus, Jr. and wife Nina, of Newton, Gary Justus and wife, Brenda of Conover, Christine Justus Rissler and husband, David of Siloam Springs, AR; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold Justus of Fort Myer, FL, Lawrence Landers and Robert Landers of Hendersonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 2 PM at Catawba Funerals & Cremations with Pastor Bob Roark officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
