Evelyn Rebecca "Becky" Dean Day

Becky was born August 14, 1932 in Burke Co. to the late Earl and Minnie Bell Jenkins Dean. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Alan Church, a son, Alan Church, Jr., brothers: Calvin Dean, Marvin Dean, Jake Dean and Borden Dean and a sister, Ruth Morgan.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired as café manager for Wal-Mart.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph James Day, Jr. of the home, step daughters: Vickie Baker and husband, George of Bethlehem, Debbie Hellman and husband Irvin of Seguin, TX. and Carolyn Day Deal of Taylorsville, step sons: David Church of Bethlehem and Ralph James, Day, III and wife, Marsha of Hickory, 13 step grandchildren, 13 step great-grandchildren, sister: Edith Garrison of Drexel, brothers: Harold Dean and wife, Dorothy of Drexel and Paul Dean and wife, Shirley of Monroe, NC.

Services will be Monday, May 16, at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Ken Swanson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Drexel City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00- 7:30 PM at Hickory Funeral Home.
