She was born on October 29, 1949 to the late Clarence Lackey and Marie Estelle Lackey in Catawba County.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Burl A. Lackey; aunt and uncle, Evie and Harry Hefner; and cousin, Kenneth Hefner.
Survivors include her cousins, Pam Moore (Mom), Robbie Moore (Dad), Shannon and Terri Lail, Logan and Haile Lail, Isaac and Megan Moore, Liam and Emaleigh Moore, Grandmother Nancy Hefner; numerous other cousins; extended family at Adult Life Programs in Conover, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, and Bright Light Tabernacle Church; and her feline companion, Gloria; and distant friends, Kimm Westabey and Bob and Penny Shadowens
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Bright Light Tabernacle Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 until 10:45 at the church. Pastor Ray York will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
