Hickory – Etta Lorita Cannon, 77 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at Catawba Valley Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born on November 21st, 1946 in Catawba County, NC, Etta was the daughter of the late Dillon and Vada Lutz Cannon. Etta was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Lail; 2 brothers, James Cannon and Roger Cannon.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her son Scott Lail; her daughter, Lori Lail, and granddaughter, Allison Lail
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Thursday, June 6th, 2024 at 7:00 pm with Pastor Leo Jones-Morton officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alexander County Animal Services in Etta’s name.
