Mrs. Elsie Hall Murphy

Elsie was born on July 30th, 1925 in Polk County to the late A. O. Hall and Esther Rodgers Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband William S. Murphy, an infant son and a son-in-law Robert L. Frye. She attended First United Methodist Church.

She was a former manager at Rock Barn Country Club Pro Shop, and also a manager at C. V. C. C. Bookstore.

Survivors include Daughter, Karen M. Frye of Mocksville, son, Patrick M. Murphy of Alexandria Va., son, Michael W. Murphy and wife Holly of Kennesaw Ga., grandson, Trey Starnes of Arlington Va., and granddaughter, Erin Ertlschweiger and husband Marc of Marietta Ga.

The family will receive friends on Sunday August 22, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 P.M. at Hickory Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday August 23, 2010 at 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Robert Roach officiating

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
