CONOVER – Dennis Ronald McCoy of Conover passed away on April 26, 2018.
Born on December 11, 1951 in McDowell County, he was the son of the late James Ralph and Katherine Helms McCoy. He was an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Appalachian State University. Dennis was a member of First United Methodist Church of Conover. Previously Dennis was employed by Winn Dixie, MDI, and enjoyed his employment as a Relator for Realty Executives. Dennis was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Survivors include his wife, Connie McCoy of Conover; sons, Chris McCoy and wife Holly of Piedmont, SC, Thomas McCoy and Wendy of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Avery McCoy, William McCoy; brother, Mike “Mooch” McCoy and wife Sherri of Marion; nephew, Bradley Dalton of Marion, and great niece, Makaila Stallings of Marion.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastor Charmaigne Van Rooyen officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 PM at the funeral home.
