Danny Lamar Proctor

Danny Lamar Proctor, age 59, of Hickory, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Frye Regional Medical Center after a long period of declining health . Born October 15, 1956 in York County, SC, he was the son of the late Clyde Pinkney Proctor and Carie Odell Brooks Proctor. A member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, he served in the US Army for 10 years and worked in the textile industry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Proctor.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 13 years, Susan Proctor of the home; daughters, Karissa Proctor Vincent and husband Gary and Kara Proctor and fiancé Ryan; step-daughter, Lorie Teague, grandchildren, Aria Vincent, Victoria Barlow and Abigail Thrift; sister, Teresa Summers; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Father Larry LoMonaco officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
