Daniel Nash Pittman Jr.

Daniel was born October 20, 1952 in Cumberland Co. to the late Daniel and Douglas Giddens Pittman.

He was a member of United Steelworkers Union Local 959, and worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant in Fayetteville for over 40 years.

He enjoyed watching Carolina ball games, playing golf and many happy times with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Lail Pittman, of the home; a brother Terry Leon Pittman, daughters, Chasity Pittman and husband, Charlie Catalano; April Gillespie and husband Shawn, stepchildren, Sean Robinson and wife Stephanie, and Julie Roos, grandchildren, Scott, Logan, Addison, Drake, and Stiles, great grandchildren, Kole and Ames, two special sister in-laws, Kimn Frank and Sarah Eaton, and numerous nephews and nieces in Fayetteville and many special friends.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 7:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Swanson officiating. A memorial service will also be held in Fayetteville at a later date.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 until 6:45 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank; the home nurse April for her help and friendship and Bob the volunteer that watched golf with Dan on TV, and became his friend.
