Dana Clyde Whisnant, 62, of Hickory, passed away on March 2, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
He was the son of Frances Trivette Whisnant and the late Worth John Whisnant. Dana was born on December 25, 1959 in Catawba County.
Along with his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard “Rick” Whisnant.
Survivors include his mother, Frances T. Whisnant of Hickory; John Whisnant and wife Sheila of Hickory; nephews, Larry Whisnant, Jesse Whisnant, Joshua Whisnant; and great nephew, John Lee Whisnant.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. at the church. Pastor Chris Dale and Pastor Earnest Richards will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
