Maxine was born on December 17th, 1939 in Union County to the late John and Amelia Hargette Helms.
Maxine was of the Baptist faith and was a Commercial Artist.
Surviving are her daughter; Simone Carrigan of Murfreesboro, TN, a son, Gary Ewing and wife Diane of Hickory, one granddaughter; Aviona Carrigan of Murfreesboro, TN, three grandsons: Austin Carrigan of Murfreesboro, TN, Cameron Ewing and Landon Ewing both of Hickory and a brother; Myron Helms and wife Ann of Richmond, VA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 9th 2010, at 10 A.M in the chapel of Hickory Funeral Home with the Reverend Todd Rudisill officiating.
Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 8th, 2010 from 7:00 P.M until 8:30 P.M at Hickory Funeral Home.
