Chelsea Renee Smith

Chelsea Renee Oliver Smith, 25 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on December 8, 1997 in Catawba County, NC, Chelsea was the daughter of Gregg Oliver and Pam Bolden. Chelsea loved being a mom to Silas and Abi and a wife to her “Handsome Husband” Dylan. As a devout Christian, Chelsea loved her Lord and Savior. She loved to draw, write and journal. She put great thought into every gift she gave and always made sure to say “I love you” to her family.

She is preceded in death by her Father Gregg Oliver and Paternal Grandparents Harmon and Frances Oliver.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her husband of 4 years, Dylan Smith; son, Silas and daughter, Abigail; mother, Pam Bolden and husband Rusty; father-in-law, Kevin Smith and wife Audra; mother-in-law, Kim Smith; sister, Kim Harris and husband Levi; brother, Allen Townsend and wife, Joyi; sister-in-laws, Morgan Smith and Hannah Barbour and brother-in-laws, Hunter and Zachary Barbour; and nieces and nephews, Levi, Kallii, Andii, Cheyanne, Lakyn and Nolan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont on Friday September 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Eric Hollar officiating. She will be laid to rest at Catawba Memorial Park following the service.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine Children’s Hospital or the Autism Society of North Carolina in Chelsea’s name.
