Charles Luther Huffman

Taylorsville – Charles “Charlie” Luther Huffman, 80 of Taylorsville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Carolina Caring in Newton.

Born on October 19, 1942 in Catawba County, NC, Charles was the son of the late Buren Leon and Wilma Madeline Hefner Huffman. Charles worked in the furniture industry while he was still able. He was an active member of Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church where he was a loyal member of the Men’s Bible Study Group. He made NC Cursillo Men’s #1 in the late 1970’s and was instrumental in growing the movement in North Carolina. He was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sisters, Dolores Propst and Dorinda MacLean.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife of 57 years, Annette Frye Huffman; four daughters, Connie Keller & husband Gerald, Cissy Huffman & husband Chris, Noelle Bernesser, Andrea Douglas & husband Donovan; five grandchildren, Chad Keller, Chastity Keller, Spencer Huffman, Holly Bernesser, & Grace Douglas; and five great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church in Bethlehem with Pastor Mike Stone officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church or Carolina Caring Hospice House in Charles’ name.
