Charles was born May 27, 1933 in Avery Co., N. C. to the late Walter H. and Nannie Jane Andrews Holloway.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Sterlin Holloway, Hubert Holloway, George Holloway and Kyle Holloway.
He was a salesman for Rooster Bush Chev-Pontiac-Cadillac-GMC Truck, Inc., longtime board member of the Caldwell House in Lenoir and a member of the Liars Table Club at the local Snack Bar in Longview. He also, was a Korean War veteran having served in the Navy.
Surviving are a son, Neal Holloway of Hickory, daughter, Linda Holloway of Hickory, grandson, Jesse Frazier of Black Mtn., N. C. special friend, Rachel Turbyfill of Hickory, brothers, Douglas Holloway of Hickory, Sherman Holloway of Melbourne, FL., sister, Mary Coffey of Lenoir.
Services will be Sunday, March 7, at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jesse Lott officiating.
Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #48 at Hickory Funeral Home Sunday following the funeral service.
Burial will be in the VA Cemetery in Black Mountain.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 – 1:45 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
