Mrs. Carol Ruckart Ruckart Floyd

CAROL RUCKART FLOYD CONOVER-Carol Ruckart Floyd, 77 of Conover went home to be with her Lord and her husband on July 18, 2016. Born on October 9, 1938 in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Louise Ruckart. Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Carol was an avid Carolina Tarheel fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Floyd and her brothers. Survivors include her sons, Donnie Floyd and his wife Terri of Bethlehem, Tony Floyd and wife Mary of Duluth, GA, Randy Floyd and Erica Warlick of Conover; seven grandchildren; three great-grandsons; sister, Eleanor Farmer of Knoxville, TN; and her beloved companion, Tess. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 12 PM at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Dr. Ed Yount officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11-12 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 440 7th Street Place SW, Conover, NC 28613.
