Billie Sue Morrison, 90 of Granite Falls went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 11th, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born on May 28th, 1934, in Caldwell County, NC, Billie was the daughter of the late James A. and Minervia M. Clark Braswell. Billie loved to work in her garden, as well as being active in her church. She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Paul Morrison; her son, Arlie Morrison; 2 sisters, Mary Braswell and Edna Todd; 5 brothers, James L. Braswell, Arthur Y. Braswell, Stonie E. Braswell. Jimmie Braswell and Jackie Braswell.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her daughter, Dianne McNeil; her son, James Morrison and wife, Renee; her daughter-in-law, Geraldine Morrison and her sister, Linda Cromer, as well as, 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Clover Baptist Church in Granite Falls, NC on Friday, October 18th, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Pastor John Barnhardt officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring of Newton, NC in Billie’s name.
