Betty Poovey Kiziah

Betty was born April 5, 1934 in Lander WY., to the late Albert and Gertrude Graham Poovey. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margaret Eckard and Helen Bolick, and brother, Ted Poovey.

She was a member of the former St. Matthews Lutheran Church.

Surviving is her husband of 61 years, R. Rader Kiziah, Daughter Denise Powell and husband Larry of Hickory, daughter Sharyn Brady of Hickory, granddaughters, Michele Pendry and husband Albert, Heather and Ivory Powell, all of Hickory. Also grandson, Derek Brady of Raleigh, grandson Devin Brady of Hickory, and 5 great grandchildren, sister, Donna Poovey of Knoxville TN., and special son John Mills of Monroe

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 31st at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Glen Yount and Reverend Ryan Ray officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 31st from 12:45 PM until 1:45 PM.

Burial will follow at St. Matthews Lutheran Church Cemetery.
