For the Litaker Family...
I'm so sorry for your lost of a beautiful wonderful loving lady. We're all going to miss her very much. I'm going to miss not writing to her and sending her jokes and pictures of my cakes. 
I know Barbara is up in heaven watching over everyone that she left behind and she'll be waiting by the gates of Heaven with the rest of your family that has gone to live with God and all his angels. When I was very young I was told my an old Cajun man that when the clouds are moving high up in the sky that's the angels moving them when they are dancing from cloud to cloud. So when you see the clouds moving high up in the sky it just might be Barbara dancing cloud to cloud with the angels.

I wanted to add a special note about Wren, my mom an dads little dog..
My mother loved Wren very much and considered him part of the family and he is..
Our family has always had animals and my mother let me bring home anything..I know if Wren could speak, he would tell mom she was dearly loved.

Leslie I am sorry for the loss of your mother.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

"I was a friend of the Litaker family in the mid to late 80's.  I always enjoyed being around Barbara Brooks Litaker.  Her sense of humor an infectious laugh were always present when talking with her about almost any subject!   No matter it we were discussing politics, world affairs, government, or the general shape of the "world today".....she always had  witty, and truthful comments as to how she saw things. There is no doubt in my mind, that Barbara's strong will, independence, 
and strong opinions shaped her daughter, Leslie's view of the world, and accounted for Leslie's strong opinions on all such topics also.  Barbara will be missed.  But she has a strong-willed daughter to carry on her name, and opinions, and great sense of humor.  Rest in Peace Barbara.  And God bless Charles, Leslie and all the Kale\Litaker family with the peace that passes all understanding from your holy name.

I've had the honor to know this wonderful woman for over 30 years. She was a strong and very determined person. Her daughter Leslie is the strong woman she is today due to this lovely lady. She will be missed. I am so blessed that Leslie shared her with me. Love you Barbara

Miss Barbara, or to me "Nana", was my grandmother. We had shared all my childhood together up until I was a teenager. We had the best of times and nothing can ever take that away from us. She was a teacher, a parent and a best friend all rolled into one perfect little package. I'm going to miss the one person who I felt I could tell anything to. I had the best childhood somebody could ever dream of, and it was all thanks to Nana.
