Adrienne Loftin Overby

Adrienne Denise Loftin Overby, age 39, of Hickory, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton, NC. Born September 8, 1978, in Forsyth County, NC, she was the daughter of Walter Warren Loftin and Cindy Annette Crews Loftin, both of Lewisville, NC.

Adrienne was an active member of Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, NC, and was a volunteer with Girl Scouts. She was employed as a social worker with Catawba County, working as an Educational Advocate.

Adrienne was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Susie Mercer Loftin and her maternal grandparents, Bobby Wayne Carroll and Mildred Barnes Carroll.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, D. Calvin “Cal” Overby; daughters, Abigail Grace Overby and Laney Gray Overby; parents, Walter Warren Loftin and Cindy Annette Crews Loftin of Lewisville, NC; brothers, Zach F. Loftin of Kernersville, NC, and Nate W. Loftin of Winston-Salem, NC; and paternal grandfather, Floyd Fillmore Loftin of Winston-Salem, NC.

A service of remembrance and celebration of Adrienne’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Stone officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 4:00 to 5:45 PM.
