Mario R. Romero was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on October 23, 1961, to parents Oscar Mena and Maura D'Amico.
On Friday, January 15, 2021, Mario passed away at the age of 59, leaving behind his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings who miss him greatly.
There is so much that can be said about Mario. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved his grandchildren greatly. He would do anything for them as they were his pride and joy. He was a strong and diverse man who loved life and lived life to the fullest. Mario loved music as much as he loved to party. He was an airplane mechanic for many years and he would even build airplane models in his spare time.
When reflecting back on his life, his family remembers with a smile his roast pork that he would make on Christmas and New Years Day. Mario indeed loved barbecuing and eating meat. Sundays were also known as fun days and you could always catch him in the pool relaxing. Mario was a person who loved to give. He would give mangoes to everyone, including the mail person. He was jokingly his wife's secretary as she would have him write out all the birthday cards and Christmas cards.
In honor of his life, a Viewing for Mario will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 7:00 P.M. until 12:00 A.M. at Caballero Rivero Hialeah Funeral Home, 373 West 9 Street, Hialeah, Florida, 33010.
