Teresa unexpectedly passed away on September 15th 2022 from secondary complications following an emergency surgery at Mountainview Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Teresa is survived by her daughter, Shenessa Parraz (Alessandro Celini) of Edinburgh, Scotland; her father, Norman Grove of Las Vegas, NV; and her sisters, Barbara Hartvigsen of Navarre, FL and Trudi Grove of Las Vegas, NV. In addition, she had step-siblings, cousins, uncles, and friends that will miss her very much.
Teresa was born in Oxnard, CA to Norman Grove and Shirley (Kirkpatrick) Grove on 8 April, 1969. As a child, Teresa was good natured, smart, kind, and a little rebellious. Always the peacekeeper between her sisters this continued into the more recent years. Teresa attended Modesto High and continued to live in the area after graduating which is where she had her daughter. The following years took her to Oklahoma where she lived for over a decade after which she moved to the Las Vegas area to be nearer her family.
Teresa was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Whether you were a relative, a close friend, a coworker, or even a brief acquaintance, she always had a quick smile and a sympathetic ear for you. She was a jokester and knew how to lighten the mood to make anyone feel just a bit better. She didn’t shy away from helping to resolve conflicts, especially amongst her family and wanted nothing more than for everyone to have a good time. She would do anything for someone she loved. She would give you the shirt off her back then make you laugh with her brilliant wit and sharp mind just to see you happy.
In the past, when life was rough Teresa was always there to help us along. Her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and lives. Those who really knew her, know that Teresa would not want us to grieve her loss but to celebrate her life and the joy she brought anyone lucky enough to have known her.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family are kindly asking for monetary donations to help offset the expenses of her cremation and celebration of life services. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with these costs. No amount is too small as the family will be grateful for anything you can offer in support. There will be a celebration of life service on 22 October 2022 in the Oklahoma City area for any who would like to attend.
