Richard "Dick" Dean Baughman Passed away on Weds. April 27, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. For ten years, Dick courageously fought renal cell carcinoma. He was born Oct. 14,1942 and was always proud to say he was a native-born nevadan, born in Ely,Nevada. He was the son of Tech. Sgt. Roy D. Baughman, Eva Baughman Skinner and Howard E. Skinner. Dick is survived by his highschool sweetheart and beloved wife of almost 60 years, Ramona Martinez Baughman, son Richard(Denelle) Baughman, daughter Kim(Donny) Ellis; grandchildren Brittney(Dustin) Erickson, Dustin Ellis, Dylan(KaLeigh) Ellis, and Jessie Baughman; great-grandchildren Quinn, Ellie, Sadie, Gunnar, and Lainey Erickson; and sister Vickie Skinner Modica. He is also survived by his godson, many cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-laws, brother-in-law and many long-time forever friends. He graduated from Basic High School in 1960, attended both the University of Nevada, Reno and Nevada Southern University (UNLV). Dick was a tech manager for Ambush Pest Control until his retirement in 2007. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, camping, hunting, fishing, playing golf, playing pool, gardening, and cooking. He loved country music, especially Johnny Cash, and attending the UNLV Runnin' Rebel basketball games and UNLV Rebel baseball games. His greatest joy and happiness was when he was with his family. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the sparkle in his eyes and the best medicine he could ever have. Dick was a Gold Star Son, having lost his father during WWII. Dick was very witty and always coming up with jokes. Family and friends loved being with him because they knew laughter would fill the air. His Celebration of Life will be held June 15th at 11:00AM., at Palm Henderson 800 S. Boulder HWY. The Baughman Family want to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses who took care of our husband, Father, Papa and Pops throughout the last ten years.
