Once she had satisfied her desire to travel, she returned to college where she decided to have a career in dentistry. In 1972
she applied to and was accepted into the University of California San Francisco Medical Center School of Dentistry Class of 1976. While in dental school she met her husband to be, Anthony Gary Viola. They
married June 25, 1977 soon after Dr. Miller had opened her private practice of dentistry in Morgan Hill, California. In 1982 she gave birth to her daughter, Natalie. She worked the day her daughter was born, telling the staff half way through the day that they needed to re-schedule the rest of the patients as it was time she left for the hospital. Dr. Miller worked eleven more years, in 1993 she decided it was time to be a full time mother retiring from dentistry. While practicing dentistry she was loved by her patients, many of which became close personal friends. After her daughter entered college, Patricia filled the void by becoming an accomplished stock market investor which she was involved in until recently. Upon moving to Nevada, she was a regular at the Sun City Anthem Association Gym, the Women's Club and the Sun City Anthem Neighborhood Watch. She was a lifetime member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Santa Clara County Dental Association and the University of California San Francisco Medical Center Dental School Alumni. Few people were aware of her many medical problems since she always presented herself in a friendly cheerful manner. She made friends very easily. She loved being with people and having fun. She will always be remembered for her vibrant personality and extremely captivating warm smile. Her entrance into a room ever went unnoticed.
