Mary Jo Sheehan

Mary Jo Sheehan passed away March 16, 2022, with her daughter by her side. She was born February 10, 1928 in McAlester, Oklahoma, the third child of Ethel Parker (Johnson) and Martin Parker. She graduated from Kingman High School in 1945 and moved to Henderson, Nevada that year. She worked as a secretary at Nellis Air Base and then at BMI in Henderson. She married William, “Bill” Sheehan in 1964. They had one daughter, Dana Elizabeth.

Mary Jo filled her days with golf, bridge, and taking care of her house and her family. She lent her time and talents to the Black Mountain Ladies Association, the Clark County Museum and St Rose de Lima hospital. After Bill retired, the two of them traveled extensively. Among the places they visited were: China, Europe, South America, the South Pacific and Eqypt. They also saw many parts of the United States.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Dana and her fur baby, Vinnie.

Graveside service will be Friday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Palm Mortuary Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: St Therese Center, PO Box 90625, Henderson, NV 89009-0625.
