Larry Walker, age 73, of Henderson, Nevada left to be home with the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2022. He was born to Doris Walker on December 16, 1948 in Lake Dick, Arkansas. Larry enlisted in the U.S. Army as a private in Los Angeles, California in 1969. He served in the 101st Airborne Division during the the Vietnam War, where through hard work and heroism, he was awarded "The Army Commendation Medal", "Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal", "Air Medal", "Overseas Service Bar", and the "Bronze Star Medal"; and achieved the rank of Specialist.
Larry resided in California, where he got married and had four children. Larry later relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked hard and met Ruth. The couple were married in 1998 and welcomed a step daughter. Larry loved taking long walks and was quite the friendly guy. He loved his family, his Ruthie, and the boys: Jayden and Jeremiah very much.
Larry's memory will live on through his wife, Ruth Walker, step daughter, Emily aka "Amy" Lopez; son-in-law, Jonathan Lopez; grandchildren: Jayden and Jeremiah Lopez, children's Tanisha, Derville and Mia Walker and Lazina Strachan, grand children's Christion Walker, Tiffany Douglas, Mya Anderson, Caleb, Olivia, Bailor and Wiley Walker, Lazina, Matthew and James Strachan.
Larry will forever be in our hearts. He will be loved and missed always. Jesus to you we entrust his soul.

A visitation for Larry will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. He will be laid to rest with honors at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
