Gary Calvin Shannon

Gary Calvin Shannon left his loving family and friends on December 8, 2024 and will forever be loved and missed.

He was born on September 16, 1945 in Artesia, NM to Wesley Bell and Berta (Pritchert) Shannon and was raised in Roswell, NM. Gary graduated from Roswell High School, Roswell, NM. After graduation from high school Gary joined the USMC where he served in Vietnam in 1965-1966 and was later stationed in Hawthorne, NV where he met his wife Marty. Gary received an Honorable Discharge in 1966. He later went on to graduate from Western Nevada Community College and earned an Associate's degree in Money and Banking, as well as an Associate's degree in Mid-Management.

He is preceded in death by his parents Wesley V. Bell and Berta (Pritchert) Shannon, his brothers and sister-in-laws, Gilbert "Gib" and Ivalene Shannon, Fred "Freddie Rae" and Evelyn Shannon, Niece, Amy Shannon.

Gary is survived by his spouse Martha "Marty" (Beslin) Shannon, his children, Michael (Kelly) Shannon, Matthew D, (Kandice "KK") Shannon, his grandchildren, Kelcey (Kevin) Cox, Matthew T. Shannon, and Mackenzie Tate Shannon, Brother and Sister-in-Law, Michael "Mike" (Everyl) Shannon, Sister and Brother-in-Law, Betty (Don) Clark and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Poppy chose not to write something personal.

Arrangements are under the direction of Palm Mortuary, Henderson, NV and final interment will be Boulder Veterans Cemetery.
