Frank Edward Chinoski passed away on October 10, 2012, at age 77, following a brief illness. Frank was born in Everettville, West Virginia on June 25, 1935. His family eventually moved to Meadville, Pennsylvania where Frank joined the Army immediately after high school. During his three years of service in the Army, he learned to work with some of the first computers, which helped him to get a job with The Prudential Insurance Company. He worked mainly in Data Processing during his 36 years with the company, and retired in 1994. After his retirement, Frank and Diane moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Frank continued to bowl, sometimes in two or three leagues a week until a knee problem forced him to slow down.
Main interests in his life involved sports of all kinds, from playing football to coaching Little Miss Softball. He taught his children to love the sports as well. Frank is survived by his wife Diane, his son Frank J. Chinoski, four daughters, Mary (David) Angus, Theresa (Scott) Phillips, Lisa (Nick) Lupi, and Jeanne (Troy) Strauser, two stepchildren, Michael and Jessica mundson, and a sister, Toni (Craig) Kelly. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Join us in saying goodby to a loved husband, brother, father and grandfather during a visitation at Palm Mortuary on Tuesday, October 16, from 3 to 7 PM. Service and burial will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City on Wednesday October 17, at 10:40 AM. We will then celebrate his life by serving a lunch of Frank's favorite food - Italian Pasta. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to either Wounded Warriors Project or a cause to fight cancer would be appreciated.
