Esther Marie Burkholder Harms, age 81, went to be with the Lord June 23, 2022. She joins her Mother and Father, Emma and Lester Burkholder, brothers, Lloyd and Donald Burkholder, sister, Verl Grim and many other close family members and friends who went on before. She leaves behind husband Wayne Harms, married 52 years, sons Daniel and Jonathan Harms and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marie, as she preferred to be called, loved music. She graduated from Shippensburg High School and traveled the East Coast singing with Gospel teams. She went to the Washington DC Bible College where her beautiful voice caught Wayne's heart and they were married May 24, 1970. After graduation they went with the son Daniel to Korea with The Evangelical Alliance Mission. Jonathan was born in Korea.
Marie always had time for her children and grandchildren's activities and was loved by everyone. She recently met her great grandchildren. She is greatly missed but we rejoice that she is home with Jesus and we know we will join her.
