Norman Lee Hoffman was born in Hemet, California on April 14, 1928, and passed away on December 2, 2021 after living all of his life in San Jacinto and then Hemet. He was born to Robert and Gwendolyn Hoffman and was the first of six children. After graduating from San Jacinto High School, he served in the Korean conflict and was the recipient of a Purple Heart for his service. On July 10, 1953 he married Melba Wyatt and they had three children, Rick, Tamie, and Ron. He opened Inland Valley Auto Parts in the mid 1960's, and ran the successful business at the corner of Columbia and Florida until his retirement in 1988. He and Melba traveled extensively, and enjoyed flying their plane to their cabin in Big Bear until her death in 1999. He married Iris Ellis in 2001 and they enjoyed many adventures together. He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Melba, his son Ron, his sisters Marvel Brock and Joyce Riesland, and his brother Robin Hoffman. He is survived by his wife Iris Ellis-Hoffman, his son Rick (Michelle) Hoffman of Lopez Island, Washington, and his daughter Tamie (John) Parker of Bozeman,Montana. He is also survived by his brothers Jerry (Karin) Hoffman and Richard (Brenda) Hoffman. He will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery.
