Nicole Elizabeth Reilly

In the hands of the Lord, Nicole Elizabeth Reilly passed away on February 5, 2018, at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, California. Nicki was born on December 25, 1946, in Munich Germany to her late father Ira Joseph Van Riper, and her late mother Myrina Lucas. She spent a couple of years in England where she was raised with her sister Paula Nelson (Tom).

In 1985, Nicki started working at the Post office in Hemet, California, where she met James Reilly. She didn't like him very much at first but there was something about James that made Nicki fall deeply in love with him and they married on June 18, 1990. Nicki and James spent twenty-seven amazing years together and raised their four wonderful children, Diane (Rick), James (Marcela), Shawn (Samantha), and their late son Christopher (Farrah). Nine grandchildren enjoyed being spoiled by Grandma Nicki (Princess Grandma).

Nicki was an extraordinary wife, mother, and grandmother. She was funny, lovable, adventurous and giving. Nicki put everyone's needs before hers and she gave her undivided attention to her family that was her world. She was a sweet woman who loved to work on her crossword puzzles, drink wine and travel. Nicki loved watching her show "Morning Joe," even though she didn't like the host at all but she wouldn't quit the show. Amazingly wonderful was the way to describe Nicki, she loved and was loved by many and she will be truly missed.
