Kenneth Wayne Kidd

Kenneth Wayne Kidd passed away at the age of 70, on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in Hemet, California. He was born to Roy Lafayette Kidd and Betty Etheridge, on Friday, January 23, 1953, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina; and he was one of five children.

In his spare time, Kenny enjoyed music, singing, playing the piano, FUN moments with friends and family and most of all, lots of laughter. Ken loved spending time planning inclusive yearly events for everyone to enjoy. Concerts, short trips, eating out, Halloween at Carnival, Ken was our fun times, go to guy. Ken always lent an ear to whoever reached out to him. He always spoke with warmth, compassion and a hint of laughter. Thoughtful and a man of integrity, dignity and strength, Ken was always there to lend a hand with his keen eye for beauty and style. He loved his family and telling stories of his growing up in Elizabeth City. So much so, we came to love it too.

Ken is survived by his 43-year partner, Larry Moderno; his brothers, Randy, Tom, Dan, and Jim; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Roseann. In addition to his human family, Ken also loved his forever fur friend Buddy the golden retriever, who he now joins in heaven. Ken has, and will continue, to touch the lives of 100's of people who knew him in hopes of making their lives better. That is Ken Kidd.
