Gary Daniel Cromwell, 72 of San Jacinto, California passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020. He was born on Friday, October 31, 1947, and was the son of the late Donald and Christina Cromwell. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Cynthia Poole Cromwell for 7 years. He earned a living as a manager for a manufacturing company for over 20 years. Once retired you could find Gary fishing. He loved fishing at a stream, lake or ocean. Where there was water you could find Gary. A true fishermen, he owns over 15 poles so he has just the right tool for the fish or water. Gary also was known to play golf and enjoyed being with his friends. Cindy and Gary did travel with their RV around the country for a while and visited many places and family. Gary was proud to be part of the Honor Guard for American Legion Post 53 for over 4 years. He performed many ceremonies locally and at Riverside National Cemetery. Gary also loved holidays and was known for his famous bunny cake. When he lived in Fullerton, he was known as the Godfather of Christmas due to the number of light strings and the blaze of light bouncing off the hills. His family describe him as loving, caring, and very open. Gary is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Christina Cromwell, his previous spouse Penny, his sister Leora Ann ( Hughes ), brothers Donald and Dale Cromwell. Surviving is his wife, Cynthia Cromwell; daughter Lisa Sharpe ( Michael ); Tracy Milbrandt ( Michael ), stepdaughter Erika Norris; stepson Richard Norris III; sister Marjorie Copeland ( Jay ); and brother Herschel Cromwell; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday September 30, 2020 at Miller-Jones Hemet Mortuary located at 1501 W Florida Ave Hemet, California 92544.
