HAUGHTON, LA – Services to honor the life of Mr. William W. Hillman, 91, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Scotty Gibson. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bill was born on October 16, 1924, in Kisatchie, LA and passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country proudly and furthered his service by becoming a member of the VFW, VFW Honor Guard, American Legion, and was past Post Commander of both. Mr. Hillman enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing shuffleboard. He loved the Lord, he loved his children, and his children loved and honored him. Bill taught his children by living his life unto the Lord. They were blessed to have such a father.
Mr. Hillman was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred R. Hillman; parents, Levi and Bonnie Hillman; brothers, Ray, Everette, and Leroy Hillman; and sisters, Mabel Williams, Opal Denio, and Rena Belle Matthews. Left to cherish his memory are his children, James Douglas Hillman and wife Kathleen, Jeff Hillman and wife Jody, Rosemary Hillman, and Delores Ann Bounds and husband Tom; sister, Margie Hursch; brother, J.T. HIllman and wife Joyce; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Aaron Sparkman, Jeremy Bourque, Jeffery Hillman, Hayden Bowers, Hunter Bourque, and Ryan Hillman.
Graveside military honors will be under the direction of the V.F.W.
