Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Teresa “MiMi” was born on November 29, 1962 in Kileen, TX and met Jesus face to face in the early hours of October 10, 2019. Teresa was a member of First Baptist Blanchard and Cowboy Church in Blanchard, LA. She always put God first and kept her faith strong, even when she was fighting battles. She had two daughters that she loved dearly. She married the love of her life on March 13, 2004 and gained another son and daughter. Teresa worked for Tra-dor Property Management for over 25 years where she held many positions including CEO. She enjoyed the outdoors, including fishing and caring for her goats Dolly and Hank. Her favorite thing of all was spending time with her grandbabies, Trent and Raylee Jo. Teresa will be greatly missed, but she wanted everyone to know that she will be playing the harp and learning to sing in heaven while watching over all of us.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Jo Shipp; brother, Jeffrey Shipp and nephew Joey Hicks.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Lumon Dwain Stewart “Bala”; mother, Ann Shipp; sister Brenda Wineland and husband Les; children, Misty Stroud and husband Dustan, Rebecca Booth, Brent Stewart and wife Jessica, Kim Meek and husband Marc and grandchildren, Trent and Raylee Jo Stroud.
Pallbearers will be Brent Stewart, Dustan Stroud, Trent Stroud, Derrick Godwin, Colbie Christ, and Jason Hicks.
