Selena "Lucky" Sophia Gutierrez

Selena Sophia Gutierrez also known as “Lucky” was born into the arms of angels at 3:07am on October 29th, 2022. Born at 37 weeks she weighed 5lbs 1oz and was 18.5inches long. Although Lucky was called to Heaven before entering this world, she was loved by so many and touched so many lives. She will forever remain in our hearts.

She was greeted in Heaven by her Grandfather Ismael Gutierrez, her Great Grandmother Sophia Arellano, her cousin Scarlett Sanchez and her Aunt Kara Reeves.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Ochsner LSU St. Mary’s in Shreveport for their incredible care provided. A special thanks to Dr. Mila Shah-Bruce and Nurses Melissa Watson, Chasity Teer, Emily Connella, Tori Rockwell, and Amber Blaze.

She is survived by her parents Ismael and Samantha Gutierrez, her Grandmothers Liliana Arellano & Maria Conchita Gutierrez. Uncles And Aunts : Yesenia & Jovani Castro, Cristina & Roberto Canchola, Estefany & Allen Gay, Tony & Sydney Montes, Joanna Gutierrez, Alex Gutierrez, Veronica & Ruben Sanchez, Erik and Brooklyn Rayas, and Aunties Samantha Molina, Andrea Kabobel, Jessica Barrons, Cori DeVille, Jazmin Galvan, Valerie Ordaz, Alexa Madrid and 15 cousins.

A Visitation will be held Friday November 4th at 1:00 pm, with the Funeral service to follow, starting at 2:00 pm. All services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Homes and Park, 601 US Hwy 80 E., Haughton, LA 71037.
