Peggy Joyce Morley Crowell, 93, passed away peacefully at her home on May 19, 2024. Peggy was born in Southend-on-Sea, England, on January 17, 1931, to Lilian Brown. She grew up alongside her brother Vick Morley and received her formal education in England before embarking on her journey to the United States.
Peggy was a longtime resident of Bossier Parish where she left an indelible mark on the community. She regularly attended John Knox Presbyterian Church until recent years and remained in contact with many friends made there. Alongside Robbie, she was the proud owner and operator of Robbie’s Veterinary Supply for more than a decade. Peggy was a vibrant socialite who also dabbled in the service/bar industry throughout her life, leaving behind colorful memories and stories that will forever be shared. She also had a keen eye for the track and enjoyed the thrill of the horse races. She took pride in looking her best and her zest for life kept her active. Her absence has already been felt among her friend group filled with neighbors, ladies’ gym group, and many others who took the time to visit or sit with her during her final weeks.
Peggy Crowell could mix a great cocktail and brew the perfect cup of tea. She relished every moment spent in the company of loved ones, and above all, will be remembered as a devout mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, honesty, and candor touched the lives of all who knew her.
